Annie has been homeschooling her four kids for more than six years. She lives in Miami, FL (recently moved from Kendall), and teaches out of her home every day — Hebrew, Chumash, Singapore Math, Calvert English, and more. Homeschooling is not a side project for her; it is the main thing.
The idea for Homeschool Factory started when a friend told her she couldn't afford to homeschool. The barrier was curriculum cost — roughly $1,200 a year. Annie started asking around and found that money was the single most common reason families stayed in school even when they wanted out. She built the platform herself, funded by a personal credit card and her husband's support, with no outside investors.
Before she built the platform, Annie lived in a co-op building with eight other homeschool families in Miami. That experience — sharing curriculum, co-teaching, covering for each other — is the direct reason the Tribe tier exists. She wanted families who could not afford a private school to have something better than a private school.
The mission she wrote on day one: “Every kid in America who wants to come home should be able to.” The platform starts at $9 a month.
